The Palacio de Congresos in Palma expects 2024 to be another record year

2 October, 2024

The Palacio de Congresos in Palma will host around 6,000 participants by the end of the year. The largest meeting of its kind will bring together 2,300 participants from the medical sector. And, for the first time, 200 buyers from the events industry will be coming to see the destination in situ.

The general director of the Palau de Congressos, Natalia Seoane, expressed her satisfaction at the consolidation of the Balearic capital in the MICE segment. It is gaining ground and this year, as in 2023, eleven major events were closed. In addition, the palace reached a new milestone with the first European medical congress.

With a view to 2025, six congresses have so far been closed, which will be completed with conventions and corporate events. The bar is set high because of “the good figures” of the last two years. With the full recovery of business tourism in 2023, 139 events were held, attracting over 70,000 attendees to the Palma venue.
