ABTA chooses Mallorca as the venue for its annual Convention 2025
23 October, 2024ABTA has confirmed that its Annual Convention 2025 will be held in the municipality of Calvià, Mallorca, from 6 to 8 October. The announcement was made in Costa Navarino, Greece, at the close of this year’s convention, marking the return of the event to the Balearics, which had not hosted it since 2011.
Calvià Town Hall will host the meeting, with the support of Turespaña, highlighting the recent renovation of the Magaluf promenade and other projects over the last decade. The event will bring together hundreds of industry professionals, reinforcing Mallorca’s position as a key destination for British tourism, especially within the UK travel trade.
For Manuel Butler, director of OET London, who was present at the meeting in Greece, the selection of the iconic Mallorcan tourist town as the venue for the convention of British travel agents in 2025 is the culmination of the work of the team he leads, which has been going on for three years, after more than a decade without hosting ABTA in Spain.
