Baqueira Beret invests €13.5m to attract European snow tourism
4 December, 2024The ski resort of Baqueira Beret, in the Aran Valley (Lleida), has invested almost 13.5 million euros to face the 2024-25 winter season, which it expects to open in early December, with the focus on the internationalisation of the public, mainly European, but also long-haul.
This objective focusing on most of the investment made, with the opening of three new slopes and six remodelling works on as many routes, as well as the acquisition of 31 snow-shovels and two snow groomers. This season, the resort will offer 171 kilometres of slopes and itineraries and a transport capacity of 62,013 people per hour.
The reduction in energy costs, the 64.30% of waste recycled out of the total generated, the remodelling of the Baqueira 1500 base and improvements to the competition stadium complement this commitment to investing in the service provided to users while waiting for the campaign to start in just over a week’s time.
