A new restaurant with 3 Michelin stars in Spain (and another 3 with 2*)
11 December, 2024The presentation gala of the new Michelin Stars in Spain was held in late November in Barcelona, so there are now 291 Michelin Stars, of which 34 were incorporated in this edition. In total, there are 242 restaurants with one of these distinctions, of which 32 have just been added; to these should be added a new addition in the two-star category, which now stands at 33; and, especially, two additions in the maximum category of three stars, which now stands at 16 gastronomic temples.
Among the main novelties of the Michelin Stars 2025 in Spain, Casa Marcial, in Arriondas (Asturias), has been awarded a third star. Three establishments have achieved a new recognition this year and have thus achieved two Michelin Stars. These are Alevante, in Chiclana de la Frontera, and Lú, in Jerez de la Frontera -both in the province of Cádiz-, and Retiro da Costiña, in A Coruña. And 32 have been awarded their first.
The new three-starred restaurant joins the 15 establishments that already had this third star and which continue to hold it. Three new establishments will have two distinctions and up to 32 have their first star.
