Fuerteventura is now connected to all European air hubs
18 December, 2024The island of Fuerteventura now has regular air connectivity with all the hub airports in Europe, which brings tourism closer in the gastronomic, sports, cultural, rural and congress areas. “This is a historic opportunity that opens us up globally and allows us to diversify our offer and other sectors of our productive fabric,” underlined the Councillor for Tourism of the Island Council, Marlene Figueroa.
Since autumn, Fuerteventura has consolidated and increased connections with Madrid through Iberia, with Frankfurt in Germany with Lufthansa, with London through B.A., Amsterdam with Vueling and Transavia, Paris with EasyJet and Vueling, and the capital of the E.U., Brussels, with Brussels Airlines.
For Figueroa, “it is a historic opportunity that shows how our destination’s strength and competitiveness faces the present and the future, and the fact that these connections are with network airlines, allows us to access business customer profiles, with much greater spending power on the island”, as she explained.
