2 Spanish leisure parks among the most visited in Europe
8 January, 2025In the Top 20 most visited theme parks in Europe, two iconic facilities in Spain stand out: PortAventura and Parque Warner Madrid. This is according to data compiled by Statista, which indicates that in total the European parks received 10.4 million visitors in 2023.
Specifically, PortAventura, in Salou (Catalonia), is in sixth place, with 3,975,000 visitors, an increase of 6% over the previous year. In the same list, Parque Warner Madrid is in 15th place, with 2 million registered users, and an increase of 7.5%. Overall, Spain receives 9.02% of this variety of leisure tourism.
According to the ‘Global Attractions Attendance Report 2023’, published by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the 20 largest theme parks in Europe received 66.2 million visitors last year, up 4.6% compared to the previous year.
