Iberostar to open a new hotel in Mallorca in 2025
15 January, 2025The Iberostar Hotels & Resorts chain has announced that on 11 April it will open the doors of its 16th hotel in Mallorca: the Iberostar Selection Es Trenc, with 198 rooms with sea views and the result of an ambitious conversion plan. This establishment was acquired in 2022 by one of the branches of the Fluxá family, owners of the group.
Before changing hands, the hotel operated as THB Sur Mallorca, but under the new ownership it has been completely renovated to adapt to the Selection segment, designed to provide “premium, generous and relaxed holiday experiences, guaranteeing a high level of comfort and service”.
The Iberostar Selection Es Trenc hotel is located on the seafront in Colonia de Sant Jordi, and will open following an ambitious conversion project that has upgraded the facilities, infrastructure and services of an existing building. The establishment has been re-categorised from 4 to 5 stars, reinforcing the chain’s premium hotel offering in Spain.
