6% more trade fair and conference centres in Spain in 2024
19 February, 2025The business generated by trade fair and conference centres in Spain closed 2024 with a turnover of 780 million euros, which represents a growth of 6% compared to the previous year, according to data published by the DBK Industry Observatory of Informa.
This increase continues the positive trend of 2023, when the sector experienced an increase of 7.3%, driven by the economic recovery and the growing demand for events. This growth has led the main operators to reinforce their strategies for attracting events, with the aim of increasing the occupancy and rotation of their facilities.
Exhibition centres, which represent the majority of the activity, generated revenues of 585 million euros, 5.4% more than in 2023, accounting for 75% of the total turnover. For their part, conference centres achieved a turnover of 195 million euros, an increase of 8.3%, consolidating their 25% share of the market.
