Pedal Spain: Where will the first cycle tourism fair in Spain be held?
26 February, 2025Pedal Spain, the first major fair dedicated to cycle tourism to be held in Spain in September, has already opened the registration period. Inspired by successful European models such as the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and Bologna fairs, the event will offer a comprehensive approach that will combine everything from small businesses to large destinations and agencies, including the end customer.
For visitors, the fair will offer guided tours, bike tests, prize draws and the opportunity to connect with travellers and brands from all over the country. For exhibitors, there will be technical conferences, B2B networking spaces and the chance to meet various European tour operators who will learn about the options in the region after taking part in a fam trip in the days leading up to the Fair.
“This event is a first in Spain,” explains Arturo Sancho, from La Ciclería in Zaragoza and one of the main promoters of the Fair. “There are other fairs, but they are more focused on bicycle brands and components. And although cycling tourism has a certain presence in some of them, it is more token than anything else.”
