Binter increases its fleet with 4 new ATR 72-600s to connect the Canaries

26 February, 2025

The Spanish airline Binter has reached an agreement with the European aeronautical manufacturer ATR for the acquisition of four new 72-600 aircraft, in line with its ongoing commitment to the modernisation and rejuvenation of its fleet. The agreement also includes an option to purchase a further five units.

The new ATR 600 series aircraft are powered by engines that make them the regional aircraft with the lowest emissions on the market, consuming 45% less fuel and also emitting 45% less CO2 than regional jets of a similar size.

The Binter fleet has been constantly modernised since the company was acquired by Canarian businessmen in 2002. Since then, the airline has been adding aircraft from the manufacturer ATR in successive operations, the total value of which currently exceeds 1.1 billion dollars.
