Puy de Fou premieres a show based on the Napoleonic invasion
5 March, 2025The Puy du Fou theme park in Toledo is premiering a new daytime show this season, which, named ‘El Tambor de la Libertad’ [The Drum of Freedom], is inspired by the Napoleonic invasion of Spain, an attraction that will be inaugurated on 8 March, the opening day of the 2025 season.
‘El Tambor de la Libertad’ tells the story of Toledo’s resistance to the advance of Napoleon’s troops, in which the protagonists “embody the spirit of a people fighting for their freedom and their honour”. This new open-air show, with a capacity for 3,000 spectators per performance, features a two-tiered stage, a production that combines gunpowder, acrobatics and Spanish dances.

This new show joins the “acclaimed” offering of Puy du Fou Spain, which has been internationally recognised with some of ‘the best shows in the world’, making it the “most awarded park in its first years of opening”. The new season will offer a total of 185 days of opening for this theme park about the history of Spain.
