MSC Cruises opens its first terminal in Spain
5 March, 2025In February the shipping company MSC Cruceros opened its first terminal in Spain. It is located in the Port of Barcelona, in Terminal H of the Muelle Adosado. It has a constructed area of some 12,580 m2 and has involved an investment of €50 million.
The MSCV Fantasia was the first ship to use the new facilities. The terminal, whose official inauguration is planned for the coming months, has been developed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA) and will service both MSC Cruises ships and those of Explora Journeys, the group’s luxury brand.

In 2021, the board of directors of the Port of Barcelona approved a 31-year concession to MSC Cruises Barcelona to build and operate this tourist cruise terminal, with the aim of improving its presence in the Catalan capital.
