9 Spanish airports awarded by passengers
26 March, 2025Airports Council International (ACI) has awarded 13 awards to nine airports in the Aena network in its prestigious Airport Quality (ASQ) Program in various categories. Among them, several were recognized as "Best European Airport" based on passenger volume.
In the busiest airport category, Palma de Mallorca was recognized in the 25-40 million passenger segment, while Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport received recognition in the 15-25 million passenger segment. Seville, meanwhile, was recognized in the 5-15 million passenger segment.

In the segment of airports with fewer than two million passengers, Girona-Costa Brava, El Hierro, Pamplona, Reus, and Zaragoza were recognized. In addition, Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport was honored with the award for the airport with the most dedicated staff in Europe.
Other awards were given in specific categories. El Hierro and Pamplona airports were named the cleanest on the continent, while Reus and El Hierro again were recognized for offering the easiest journey for passengers.
