Top urban, coastal and inland tourist destinations in Spain in 2025
18 June, 2025Tourism in Spain continues to expand its territorial presence, says the Atlas of municipal contributions to tourism in Spain 2025, published by Exceltur. The report analyses 500 destinations that account for 82.8% of the country’s tourist accommodation offer.
The study includes rankings of municipalities according to their typology: cities, coastal and inland destinations, considering factors such as number of beds, type of accommodation, weight of tourism in the local economy and employment generated.

The study shows that the leading destinations have achieved a high level of tourism development thanks to a sustained supply and demand, the result of a history of promotion and consolidation in the markets.
