Germany and the UK lead in air travel to Spain in June
18 June, 2025In June, Spain reached an offer of 12.2 million international air seats, 4.7% more than in the same month of 2024, according to Turespaña. The UK and Germany, the two main European outbound markets, consolidate their leadership in air connectivity to Spanish destinations.
The UK increased its air capacity by 5%, reaffirming its role as the leading international outbound country. Germany, second in volume, added 0.9% more seats, showing stability and confidence in the demand for Spain. Both markets are maintaining a solid programme at the start of the summer, which is key to the sector’s good performance.

France also recorded a slight increase of 1.3% and Italy stands out with an increase of 9.3%. In contrast, the Nordic countries reduce their capacity: Norway (-9.6%), Denmark (-8%) and Sweden (-5.7%).
In addition, the United States grew by 3.1% to 330,828 beds, and in Latin America, Colombia expanded by 11.1%, while Mexico fell by 5%.
Overall, the figures reflect a high season with good performance in key markets and consolidation of the links with the UK and Germany as drivers of international tourism.
