Summer in the Atlantic Islands: 368 guided tours with 5,400 places
2 July, 2025This summer, the Xunta de Galicia is activating a programme of 368 guided routes with some 5,400 places to explore the Atlantic Islands National Park, combining nature, heritage and dissemination. The visits will take place in small groups in Cíes, Ons, Cortegada and soon Sálvora, with the aim of offering personalised and quality experiences.
In Cíes and Ons the routes will run daily between 15 June and 15 September. Registration can be made in person at the information points on the islands or through the booking centre between 15 days and 24 hours in advance. In Cortegada, the visits - entitled 'Cortegada, un bosque no medio do mar' [Cortegada, a forest by the sea] - will be held on selected Sundays, in groups of 14 to 15 people and can only be booked online. The Sálvora programme will be announced at a later date.

The routes are free of charge, although visitors must pay for transfers to the islands. In Cortegada, the park organises the group and arranges the transport but passengers must pay for the ticket as per the instructions provided. The routes cover environmental, cultural and ethnographic contents, with outstanding itineraries such as 'Cíes, unha illa de paisaxes' and 'Ons: unha illa con 2 caras'.
