Aquatic experiences are growing more popular this summer in Spain

27 August, 2025

Water adventure tourism has grown by 16% in Spain in the last year, according to Aladinia.com. Beyond traditional swimming, there is a growing number of proposals that combine adrenaline, nature and luxury on the coast and inland.

Top rated activities include canyoning in Somosierra (Madrid), flyboarding in Moaña (Pontevedra) and parasailing in Benalmádena, along with diving with sharks at L'Aquàrium in Barcelona.

Contact with nature is the focus for proposals such as kayaking and snorkelling in Cabo de Gata (Almeria), the multi-adventure tour in Alcúdia (Majorca) or whale watching in Los Gigantes (Tenerife). In the Almadenes Canyon (Murcia), rafting is an accessible option for families.

Other novelties include the eFoil in Altea (Alicante), a motorised board that allows you to "fly" over the water, and the yacht tour with aquatic gadgets in Portmany (Ibiza). For those looking for relaxation, a night on a sailing boat in A Coruña offers an intimate experience overlooking the Betanzos estuary.

With more aquatic options available every year, these options are becoming a solid alternative for those looking for unique and refreshing experiences during the summer.
