30 March, 2022The relationship between a destination and its tourists doesn't necessarily end when they return home. And even less so with the devoted tourists who often return year after year.
This is the case of the British on the Costa Daurada in Catalonia. So strong is the relationship between the United Kingdom and places like Salou, Cambrils, Vila-Seca and La Pineda – or even Port Aventura World – that the Costa Daurada tourist board has decided to partner with Manchester City women's football team.
The sponsorship agreement is for two seasons and will involve the English team holding a training camp each season on the Costa Daurada, the first of which will take place between 25 and 29 April. Sports tourism is now the latest link strengthening the tourist-destination bond.
