You can now discover Spain’s natural areas by train
6 April, 2022The Eresma Valley Greenway, the Cañada Real Soriana Occidental trail and the Royal Palace of Riofrío are the protagonists of a Renfe programme geared towards enjoying open-air tourism in natural environments. The programme, called Rutas Naturales (Natural Routes), is being developed in the province of Soria, in Castile and León.
The offer, which makes it possible to enjoy tourism in direct contact with nature in a little-known but incredibly beautiful region of Spain, is based on medium-distance train travel along the routes aimed at groups of ten people or more, with same-day return journeys available.
Bikes can also be taken on the trains, increasing the travel options. As the spaces reserved for bikes onboard are limited, however, it's essential that this need is communicated at the time of booking.
