Rías Baixas wine route, chosen the best one in Spain
13 April, 2022The Asociación Ruta del Vino Rías Baixas (Rías Baixas Wine Route Association) has been recognised with the FIJET Award Spain 2022 as the Best Spanish Wine Route, given by the Spanish Association of Tourism Journalists and Writers, and handed over during the celebration of this year’s Fitur trade fair, the first one with a certain amount of normality since the pandemic broke out.
For Juan Gil de Araujo, president of this Galician wine route, “this means an incentive to go on getting behind and working in favour of a high quality and sustainable tourism”. In this sense, this award contributes to keeping the bet for wine tourism excellency in the rural environment.
Almost one hundred organisations of different nature, such as wineries, lodgings, restaurants, museums, etc, take part in the Rías Baixas Wine Route. Together they form a wine tourism products club which is supported by the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the Secretary of State for Tourism and Turespaña.
