More trains connecting Madrid and Granada from April
27 April, 2022On 4th April, Renfe restored the third AVE high-speed train service link between Granada and Madrid by relaunching evening trains, departing from Atocha at 19:10 and from Granada at 19:25. Both will run daily, as the current trains do, thus resuming three direct, daily AVE trains in each direction between both cities.
With these connections, the AVE train service in Granada will be 100% restored to pre-pandemic levels. Renfe’s service between Granada and Madrid will now rise to 42 weekly trains, offering 14,000 seats a week.
The reestablishment of these daily connections replaces the trains that ran at weekends, departing from Madrid on Fridays and from Granada on Sundays, which were established last June as weekend reinforcement.
