3,900 MICE events in Spain in 2021: a sector in full recovery
22 June, 2022The MICE sector is returning to normality in Spain and the numbers confirm it. According to 2021 figures collated by the Spanish Association of Conference Centres (APCE), 3,982 events were held last year, and this despite all the difficulties and health restrictions of the pandemic.
A total of 2,784,430 attendees were recorded for events held at APCE member venues. For Iker Goikoetxe, president of the association, “The return to normality is now a reality”.
The report was based on data collected from and provided by 24 of the 32 APCE member venues, which means that the final total figures could be around 30% higher.
