So the hotel offer is growing in Seville

2 November, 2022

The city of Seville currently has 116 hotels open, totalling 10,527 bedrooms and remains within the focus of hotel investment. In the coming years, at least 12 establishments will be opened, according to Christie & Co's Market Snapshot, positioning itself as a luxury urban destination and this is confirmed by the fact that two international chains will arrive soon: Mandarin Oriental and IHG.

Christie & Co’s report identifies at least 12 projects in the pipeline, which will mean an increase of 9% in the offer of the Andalusian capital once they have joined the activity. 4-star hotels will continue to concentrate the largest volume of supply but there will be a 40% increase in 5-star hotels, since nine projects of at least 640 bedrooms are already confirmed.

Christie & Co’s report notes that since 2016 both national and international hotel groups “have shown great interest in obtaining new hotel projects in Seville”. At the moment, two national groups (Hotusa and Meliá Hotels International) concentrate almost 20% of the offer, some 2,000 bedrooms, but in the last six years many international groups increased their presence.
