All accommodation in Spain will recharge electric cars
23 November, 2022In Spain, all non-residential private car parks with more than 20 spaces are installing a charging point for electric cars for every 40 parking spaces and this operation must be completed before 1 January 2023. In addition, charging stations will also be added in car parks with more than a thousand spaces.
The lack of charging stations “is a challenge for the sector, which runs the risk that travellers will not go to certain regions for fear of running out of battery. Hoteliers must take a step forward in recharging solutions for their establishments and thus maintain the country as an international tourist reference”, explained the regional director for Spain of Charge Amps, Henrik Bergman.

“Drivers need a charging point at the place where they will spend the night to ensure that their vehicle will be ready the next day. It is a functionality which increasingly more guests are requesting, in the same way that they require a good Wi-Fi connection”, stated the general director of the Hotel Technical Institute (ITH), Álvaro Carrillo.
