Travel by train, taxi, PHV, scooter and motorcycle coordinated in Spain
7 December, 2022The brands Bolt, Cooltra, Karhoo, Movitaxi and Reby, together with the Renfe Viajeros service offer, will be integrated into the launch of the minimum viable product of dōcō, the new door-to-door mobility services platform promoted by Renfe. The scalable nature of the platform and its gradual implementation will allow new functionalities to be developed, existing ones to be improved and the incorporation of new partners.
This first version of the dōcō platform will be launched on the market with all the safety guarantees in its functionalities, which will increase and improve with five-year scalability. In this first stage, dōcō will offer planning, booking and single payment for combined trips by train, taxi, PHV, scooter and electric motorcycle thanks to its first collaborators, which are the aforementioned brands.
Renfe has led the dōcō project, becoming the first public company to manage door-to-door mobility services. Dōcō incorporates the Renfe Viajeros trains, both the Cercanías and Media Distancia services, as well as the Long Distance and High-Speed trains. More than 2,000 trains available every day connecting with approximately 200 destinations.
