5 Spanish monuments which stand out for their accessibility

Predif experts have reached an agreement and have determined the five Spanish monuments which stand out for their physical accessibility representing a boost to accessible tourism and, at the same time, cultural tourism. The list of the best adapted goes through some of the most iconic monuments in Spain, places which are always a pleasure to discover for tourists.

  1. The Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar: 100% accessible entrance and route, without obstacles inside. Stair-lift ramp to access the altar. Lift to the bell tower.
  2. Alhambra in Granada: ramps and alternative routes. Adapted main entrance, homogeneous pavement.
  3. Burgos Cathedral: ramps, alternative routes. The entire central nave and a large part of the chapels are accessible via ramps.
  4. Alcázar de Toledo: ramps and handrails, wide corridors, lifts and stair lifts.
  5. Royal Palace of Madrid: ramps, alternative routes, lifting platforms.
