15 February, 2023At this time of year, ski tourism is in full swing, in Spain it can be enjoyed in many regions. Among others, Madrid stands out, where there are two important stations, Navacerrada and Valdesquí, located in the Sierra de Guadarrama, where fans can enjoy all white sports.
Navacerrada. It is surrounded by the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. It is divided into two completely different sectors, providing a great contrast of landscapes and slopes to all visitors. It has 5.1 skiable kilometres divided into 9 slopes (one green, three blue, five red), as well as seven ski lifts. It also has a cafeteria and a hostel/refuge.
Valdesquí. It is the largest and busiest in all of Madrid and, being located on the northern slope of the mountains, gets a large amount of snow. It has 22 skiable kilometres spread over 28 slopes (7 green, 16 blue and 5 red) such as Las Zetas, Quinta Avenida or El Muro, plus 15 ski lifts. It also has quite high elevations: a minimum of 1,860 metres and a maximum of 2,278 metres.
