Jumping between islands, new Air Nostrum Menorca-Ibiza route
15 February, 2023From 16 February, Air Nostrum, the Spanish airline specialised in regional flights, recovers the route between Menorca and Ibiza. It thus completes the connectivity of the Balearic archipelago by joining the three largest islands together. The inter-island route between Ibiza and Menorca is recovered outside the high season period of July-August for the first time since 2012.
The most important thing is that tourists who want to travel between Ibiza and Menorca and vice versa avoid having to make a stopover in Majorca. The route returns with three weekly frequencies in the 2023 summer season (26 March to 28 October) on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This connection will become daily in the summer peak period between 21 July and 3 September.
However, Air Nostrum did not want to wait until the end of March to offer this service and programme. From now on, there will be two weekly flights between the two islands: Mondays and Thursdays. In the summer 2022, this route had its best results since 2011, as it almost transported 5,000 passengers.
