Tarragona becomes a receiving port for cruise ships
15 February, 2023Tarragona Cruise Port has reached an agreement with the shipping company MSC Cruises to make 26 stopovers of the MSC Magnifica cruise ship in the Port of Tarragona during the 2023 season. Through this action, the Catalan coastal town becomes the embarkation city for cruise ships with the stops that MSC Magnifica will make during the 2023 season.
This cruise offers a 7-night itinerary from the Port of Tarragona and through the Western Mediterranean, with stopovers in Toulon (France), Genoa, Civitavecchia/Rome, Livorno/Pisa (Italy), and Valencia. MSC Cruises first arrived in Tarragona last season, 2022, with a total of 8 stopovers on the MSC Bellissima cruise.
The forecast for 2023 is to double the figures obtained during 2022 since the ship used in this new season has less passenger capacity than MSC Bellissima but three times as many stopovers will be made.
