A central gastro hotel in a fortress in Girona
22 February, 2023The brothers Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca, the universal chefs known as the Roca Brothers will open a new hotel this year in Girona (Catalonia). The new establishment is included in a new multidisciplinary project around gastronomy in the Castell de Sant Julià de Ramis, a 19th century fortress where they will also open a restaurant, events area, exhibition and research area and an academic centre.
The Roca brothers have stated that the deployment of the different projects will be “unhurried, exciting and tasty”, and will be added to the current ones: the three-starred El Celler de Can Roca, the Espai Mas Marroch events area, the Casa Cacao hotel, which has its own chocolate workshop and a pastry shop; the Rocambolesc ice cream parlours and the confectionery of the same name and the restaurant ‘Normal’.
So, first it will open the hotel with a restaurant with the “hits” of the 35 years of the three Michelin stars. And later the CCR Cocina Conciencia R+ Investigación area, as well as the Roca Academia and Roca Recicla training centre.
