The island of Mallorca has a varied cultural offer which tourists can discover and enjoy at any time of the year. Four unique museums can be highlighted that house everything from cells for retreats to palaces or open-air spaces located in the middle of nature.

  1. The Chopin and George Sand cell-museum: La Cartuja de Valldemossa, a beautiful monumental complex located in the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana, has had among its most illustrious tenants the universal composer Chopin, who made a trip to Mallorca accompanied by the writer George Sand in 1838.
  2. Can Prunera Museum of Modernism: It is located in Sóller, in an old modernist-style house, built at the beginning of the 20th century following Catalan models and French art nouveau. Today, it has a collection of works by great masters of the 19th and 20th centuries, such as Joan Miró, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Klee, Fernand Léger and Maurice Vlaminck.
  3. Sa Bassa Blanca Museum: It is located in the town of Alcudia, integrated into nature, in a protected environment and declared a biological reserve. Its gardens have a sculpture “zoo” with large works of granite animals created by Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu.
  4. Robert Graves museum: It is located in Deià, in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana, in the house of the famous poet and writer Robert Graves (1895-1985), who lived there from 1929 until his death.
