Success of the first year of AVE and Avlo’s Madrid-Valencia corridor
15 March, 2023During the first year of operation of the Avlo trains, Renfe transported 2.3 million customers in its High-Speed services (AVE + Avlo) that circulate in the Madrid-Valencia corridor. This figure practically doubles the clients of these services in 2021 with an 87% increase.
The commissioning of the Avlo trains has been a success, according to Renfe, which registered an occupancy rate of 89% in its first year of operation. The AVE + Avlo service between Valencia and Madrid offers a total of 15 trains in each direction.

The Avlo trains between Madrid and Valencia came into operation on 21 February 2022, with three trips in each direction. Avlo services are zero-emission trains which contribute to sustainable transport and which run on 100% electricity from renewable sources (certified origin).
