Adrian Hoteles will compost all its waste

Adrian Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria joins the initiative to convert the food waste it produces into compost. Now there are 12 hotel establishments in south Tenerife which carry out this activity. This project promoted by Ashotel and the Asaga Association of Farmers and Ranchers has been strongly reactivated.

The main objective is to promote the re-use of organic and vegetable waste from the establishment, minimising food waste. It is an initiative framed in sustainability and environmental projects, especially as regards circular economy and environmental protection.

The hotel company joins this project by implementing the selective collection procedure, separating waste of organic origin from the kitchen and garden pruning. They will then be used to create a high-quality compost intended to supply fertiliser to plantations on the island, closing the cycle and valuing more sustainable tourism.
