More high-speed trains between Madrid and Alicante

12 April, 2023

Renfe has increased the supply of AVE trains on the Madrid-Alicante route, which in fact began late March. The company has planned two new services, one direct service between Madrid and Alicante, which will circulate daily except Saturdays and another from Madrid to Alicante on Saturdays.

The new supply shows an increase of 2,500 weekly seats, an increase which has been made in the most popular time slots. The direct AVE will depart from Madrid Chamartín at 3 p.m. and the AVE, on Saturdays, with intermediate stops, will depart from Madrid Chamartín at 4 p.m.

The new Avlo train service, Renfe's low-cost high-speed train, has also started between Alicante and Madrid, proposing 4 daily trips, 2 in each direction between the two cities, offering 1,436 seats per day. Now, there will be 28 daily high-speed trains between Alicante and Madrid, 14 in each direction.
