The Palau March Museum, in Mallorca, reopens and resumes its concerts

31 May, 2023

The emblems of the Bartolomé March Foundation, the Palau March museum (Palma) and sa Torre Cega (Cala Ratjada, Capdepera), have finally reopened their doors after two years of closure, and this summer they will once again offer concerts. The palace, located in a privileged enclave in the Balearic capital, will host three of the recitals organised by the Deià International Music Festival.

On the 23rd June, the Palau will host 'Un concierto de película' featuring soprano Raquel Lojendio and pianist Alfredo Oyágüez, who will perform film soundtracks from Hollywood and Broadway. On 30th June, Chuchito Valdés and the Camerata Deià Jazz will present 'Suite Picassiana' at the Palau March; and on the 7th July, violinist Gilles Apap and Camerata Deià, will perform the concert 'Fiddlin' around the world', featuring folk, Irish, gypsy and bluegrass music.

The gardens of sa Torre Cega, the estate located on a cliff, will host the 34th edition of the Serenatas de Verano de Cala Ratjada festival, which will open on the 6th July with the Kambrass Quintet. It will continue on the 13th, with a guitar concert by Álvaro Toscano, while on Friday 21st, a selection of Puccini's operas will be performed.
