Costa del Sol joins Destinia to increase bookings from the UK

Costa del Sol Tourism carried out an online marketing campaign in collaboration with Destinia between February and April. The aim was to strengthen the positioning of the destination and increase the number of bookings to the province of Malaga from one of the main source markets, the United Kingdom, which has not yet recovered its pre-pandemic records.

According to data from the latest tourism bulletin, 76,683 Britons stayed in hotels and apartments on the Costa del Sol in March, which is 9.4% less than in the same month of 2019. Using the volume of passengers at the airport, the British occupy first place, with just over 174,000 but still 5% below March 2019.

For this campaign, a microsite dedicated exclusively to the Costa del Sol has been created on the website of Destinia, an online travel agency based in Spain that operates internationally. It offers more than 500,000 hotels and 600 airlines. Its presence extends to over 90 countries.
