A Gran Meliá in Menorca voted best hotel of the year
26 July, 2023The Villa Le Blanc hotel, which opened its doors just over a year ago in Menorca with a commitment to Mediterranean luxury, sustainability and authenticity, has been voted 'New Hotel of the Year' at the Conde Nast Traveler awards. Located on Santo Tomás beach, halfway between Mahón and Ciutadella, the two cities of the island declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1993.
The refurbishment project was designed by the architectural studio of Álvaro Sans, based on an old hotel, showing a deep respect for vernacular Mediterranean architecture, wrapped in luxury and simplicity. Its 114 rooms and 45 suites on the seafront have been designed with the utmost respect for Menorcan style.
The establishment also has three gastronomic areas inspired by the island's culinary tradition and innovation: S'Amarador Villa Le Blanc, CRU, (created by chef Joan Canals and reflecting the personality of the iconic Menorcan restaurant Ulises) and NIVI, specialising in Mediterranean and grilled cuisine.
