Iberostar receives the Nast Traveler award for its sustainability model
26 July, 2023Iberostar Group has received the Condé Nast Traveler 2023 award in the "Sustainable & Eco" category for its pioneering Wave of Change movement, which recognises the hotel group's efforts in sustainability and inspires its ambitious Agenda 2030.
During the awards ceremony held in Madrid, Megan Morikawa, Global Director of the Iberostar Group's Sustainability Office, said "sustainability is at the heart of Iberostar, driving us to lead a responsible tourism model in the industry in order to engage and raise awareness of the importance of caring for our environment even when we are enjoying a relaxing holiday".
Wave of Change reflects the passion for the oceans declared by the Iberostar Group in 2017. Through this initiative, the Group has carried out major actions in recent years for the conservation of the environment and the fight against climate change. With a solid scientific basis, this movement has enabled Iberostar to develop the lines of action of its own Agenda 2030.
