These are the 6 most visited wine routes in Spain

The total number of visitors to the wineries and wine museums associated with Rutas del Vino de España reached 2,487,255 in 2022, 51.59% more than the previous year. This represents a recovery of 80.85% of the pre-pandemic figures, according to data from the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN). Moreover, these arrivals had an economic impact of around 75.5 million euros.

According to data from the latest ‘Annual report on visits to wineries and wine museums’, prepared by the Tourism Observatory of the Wine Routes of Spain, the rapid recovery of wine tourism after the strong impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is confirmed.

In 2022, the following routes received the most visitors:

  1. Ruta del Vino and Brandy del Marco de Jerez: 333,781 visitors

  2. Ruta del Vino de Rioja Alta: 313,974

  3. Ruta del Vino Ribera del Duero: 281,918

  4. Ruta del Vino Penedès: 262,693

  5. Ruta del Vino Rioja Alavesa: 234,101

  6. Ruta del Vino de Calatayud: 229,009
