Aena’s ambitious climate action plan for the airline industry
16 August, 2023In the latest Climate Leaders Europe ranking, the Spanish airport operator, Aena has the highest score (69.2) of all the European airport operators included in the list. What’s more, of the 31 Spanish companies highlighted as climate leaders in this ranking, it is top in the transport sector.
The ranking was compiled after exhaustive research, analysis of emissions data and contacts with thousands of companies. In this edition, the methodology used for the selection of climate leaders has been strengthened, in accordance with the growing demands of rating agencies, ESG indices, investors, consumers and regulators regarding corporate climate action.
It is worth highlighting Aena's firm commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change, materialised in its Climate Action Plan 2021-2030, with a 550- million euro investment.
