Trending new and unique hotels in Spain
6 September, 2023In recent weeks, a hotel reopening has been announced with a change of model in Ibiza and the conversion of an 18th century farmhouse into a 5-star hotel in the heart of Priorat (Catalonia) – a Relais & Chateaus member. Both cases have the aim of becoming destination hotels.
Hotel Mongibello Ibiza by Concept (formerly Palladium Don Caros de Ibiza) has launched their project operated by the Concept Hotel Group, evoking the Italian “dolce vita” in its most Mediterranean form. It takes its name from the fictional town on the Amalfi coast where the plot of "The Talented Mr. Ripley" takes place, one of Patricia Highsmith's most famous works.
New boutique hotel, the Gran Hotel Mas d'en Bruno in Priorat, is owned and managed by The Stein Group and shows how to carry out the sophisticated architectural project of a 5-star hotel based on the structure of a country house dating from 1797. Everything inside is respectful of the environment, by the integrating archaeological remains of the old farmhouse from which it takes its name, such as the façade, walls, foundations, doors, beams and ceramics, among others.
