Trasmed joins the Lean & Green decarbonisation program
6 September, 2023Shipping company Trasmed has formalised its incorporation into Lean & Green, the European program coordinated in Spain by the Association of Manufacturers and Distributors (AECOC) for the decarbonisation of logistics, which currently includes more than 500 companies from 16 countries throughout Europe.
The primary objective of this initiative involves drawing up a sustainable logistics plan to reduce the emissions derived from its processes by 20% in a maximum period of five years, in order to achieve neutral emissions by 2050, following the objectives defined at the Paris Climate Change Convention (COP21).
As highlighted by Director of Institutional Relations, Miguel Pardo “it’s a unique program because it is based on the collaboration of the entire logistics chain to reduce emissions. It is not about customers and suppliers, but about partners who share the best practices to obtain Lean&Green stars”.
