The most popular city on TikTok is Spanish
27 September, 2023With a total of 106.1 billion views and 65,461 playbacks per inhabitant, Barcelona is the most popular European destination on TikTok, well ahead of London (68.6 billion views and 7,734 playbacks) and Paris (64.8 billion views and 29,368 playbacks respectively). The videos posted on this social network mainly show three assets: Barceloneta beach, the Raval and Las Ramblas.
As well as Barcelona, Cádiz, Madrid, Seville and Granada are the Spanish cities with the most playbacks per inhabitant. In the case of Cádiz, there are 17,118 playbacks per inhabitant and is highlighted for its coastal landscapes. La Caleta, with its castle in the background, serves as the backdrop for numerous videos that end up uploaded on TikTok.
The top 3 is completed by Madrid with 10,242 playbacks per inhabitant. Among the highlights of the Spanish capital are La Puerta del Sol and its surroundings, followed by the Retiro Park. Two Andalusian cities close the top five positions. Seville with 8,363 playbacks, and Granada with 8,163 playbacks. Other cited Spanish destinations are Valencia, Córdoba, Malaga, Toledo and Santander.
