Meliá inaugurates its two Paradisus resorts in the Canary Islands
27 September, 2023The Meliá Hotels International chain has officially inaugurated the first two resorts of its Paradisus brand to open in the Canary Islands, operating during the high season, offering its Destination Inclusive experiences, which are selected by local experts and seek to connect guests with the islands’ nature and culture.
Paradisus Salinas Lanzarote and Paradisus Gran Canaria propose “a new way of travelling in which the brand acts as ambassador of the destination, inviting guests to discover and enjoy it outside the hotel’s areas. This is a step beyond the traditional sun and beach tourism experience, giving prominence to the destination,” explained the hotel group.
In turn, Meliá’s Chairman and CEO underlined how the transformation of the old hotels into new luxury resorts represents “great news for the destinations and their communities, by providing more and better employment and a greater contribution and integration into the local economy of the destinations”.
