Córdoba Califato Gourmet, vital for gastro tourism
11 October, 2023The Córdoba Califato Gourmet food and wine event will take place on 16 and 17 October, and this year’s edition goes one step further and will include the participation of Joan Roca, owner of El Celler de Can Roca (see photo), a restaurant with three Michelin stars and considered to be one of the best and most influential chefs in the world.
Nearly 15,000 people have participated to date in an event that, since its creation in 2014, has established itself as the most important haute cuisine event in Andalusia and one of the most prominent claims of its gastronomic tourism. In fact, 25% of the attendees travel to enjoy the culinary experiences on offer.
Since its first edition, over fifty top chefs have taken part in this event, with a total of 80 Michelin stars and almost a hundred Repsol suns, with creators who, in some cases, have national gastronomy awards to their credit, such as Paco Roncero and Mario Sandoval.
