Seville’s iconic Triana district now has its first 5* hotel

1 November, 2023

Since mid-September, Cavalta Boutique Hotel has opened its doors, becoming the first 5-star Grand Luxury hotel establishment in the well-known Triana district in Seville. The hotel has enhanced the value of an architectural jewel of the city with its meticulous refurbishment and its open character to both international visitors and Sevillians.

The building was constructed in 1924, designed by the architect Ramón Balbuena y Huertas, a follower of regionalism who was part of the project for the Universal Exhibition of 1929. Its façades stand out for their use of exposed brick and polychrome ceramic panels with plant and figurative details created in the district’s popular pottery workshops.

The hotel began to receive guests in September, staying in its 12 luxury rooms, where the quality of the materials is outstanding, with natural wood floors, exposed brick walls, comfortable and original furniture, and the most exclusive products, including the linen, highlighting the successful soundproofing that allows isolation from the bustling and lively Triana neighbourhood.
