Iberostar receives the Beyond Luxury Award 2023 for its eco-consciousness
8 November, 2023The Iberostar Group has been awarded the Beyond Luxury Awards for the ecological awareness of its responsible tourism model and its commitment to sustainability in respecting the environment and the oceans.
These awards, which are given to the luxury hotel industry in the Iberian Peninsula, have been decided by a jury made up of professionals linked to the sector who have recognised Iberostar’s promotion of responsible tourism, focused on caring for people and the environment, as the most complete and efficient ecological proposal in the Best Eco-Conscious Hotel Group 2023 category.
With sustainability as its driving force, the Iberostar Group places the circular economy at the heart of its strategy and reflects the company’s specific commitment to the environment and the oceans through the pioneering Wave of Change movement. This initiative, born in 2017, has inspired Iberostar’s own ambitious Agenda 2030 to avoid sending waste to landfill by 2025, be 100% responsible in the seafood supply chain by 2025, achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 and improve the health of the ecosystems surrounding its hotels.
