Tenerife to host the Turespaña convention in 2024
15 November, 2023During the recently held III Turespaña Convention, the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rosana Morillo, and the Director General of Turespaña, Miguel Sanz, announced that the island of Tenerife will host the event next year, with digitalisation as its theme.
“Tenerife is one of the most successful destinations in the world that is transforming its tourism economy to provide it with a future, digital and sustainable model,” said the Secretary of State for Tourism. The Turespaña conference “has been a great opportunity to learn about the unstoppable digitalisation of the tourism sector and its use for the development of new products and experiences for visitors, as well as better management models for destinations and companies,” said the director of the agency.
These statements took place during the second day of the Turespaña Convention, organised together with the Tourism Society of the Donostia/San Sebastián City Council. Technology and digitalisation, the work of tourist destinations and the communication of sustainability were the central themes of the day.
