Uber launches in Spain as a rent-a-car platform
13 December, 2023Uber has announced the launch in Spain of its Uber Rent business, a new service that will offer users the possibility of booking a rental car in 116 Spanish cities in the 17 autonomous communities through its platform, but from the fleet of car rental companies operating in the country with which it has reached an agreement.
Uber Rent, operational since the end of November, is presented as a more affordable solution “with hundreds of vehicles available for rent from the most reliable companies on the market, such as Europcar, Hertz, Avis, OK Mobility, Budget or Sixt, in line with your travel needs at the touch of a button”, as explained by the platform.
And Uber has clarified that, through CarTrawler’s technology, its app recommends the best car rental options to users based on their location and the final destination of their trip. This includes the ability to compare options by price, vehicle size and reviews from other users.
