3/10 of the world’s best bars are in Spain
20 December, 2023The list of the 10 best bars in the world includes no less than three Spanish bars, one of them an absolute winner, Sips (Barcelona), which is accompanied by Paradiso, also in the Catalan capital, and, in addition, Alquímico, an establishment from Cartagena (Murcia), which is in ninth place. They share the ranking with bars in New York, Mexico City, London, Paris and Oslo.
This is reflected in the list ‘The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023’, a ranking compiled from the votes of more than 600 industry experts from all over the world, from bartenders and cocktail experts to consultants, critics and specialised writers. Spain is the only country with three establishments in the Top Ten of the ranking, which gives an idea of the good moment its hospitality industry is going through.
“For the second time since the list was created in 2009, a bar from outside New York or London has taken the top spot. Last year, a bar from Barcelona, Paradiso, also occupied the top spot, but this year it has dropped to fourth place”, Statista detailed in their analysis of ‘The World’s 50 Best Bars 2023’.
